Maloone, his sons, and some friends started building boats in a small shop known as “Correct Craft.” During World War II the company became one of the leading military suppliers, building everything from bridge pontoons to landing barges.

Pine Castle also offers the youth of this community a chance to play organized sports through their Little League organization.

Pine Castle is part of Orange County’s Public School System. Pine Castle is also home to the Pine Castle Christian Academy where Joe Oliver, a former major league baseball catcher for the Cincinnati Reds, now coaches the high school varsity baseball team. A private school, Pine Castle Christian Academy offers many extra curricular activities including athletics, theater, clubs, and organizations. Pine Castle residents looking to obtain their Associates and Bachelor’s Degrees are approximately 30 minutes away from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
